STUDY OF RISK FACTORS IN RETINAL VENOUS OCCLUSION

Aims and objectives:To study the demographic profile of patients with retinal vein occlusions To determine risk factors in Materials Methods:This is a hospital based observational conducted on 50 attended to attending retina clinic OPD Ophthalmology department, Dr. R.S.P.R Government regional eye hospital, Andhra medical college, Visakhapatnam from April 2022 June 2022. Relevant detailed history complete ocular examination was done. Results:Out cases, 16(32%) were CRVO,4(8%) HRVO 30(60%) BRVO.Majority age group 61-70 years i.e., 48% least number are <40 age.Out 50,30% males 18% females. Major factor hypertension 20(40%), Diabetes alone 14% followed by Dyslipidemia, CAD CVA. Conclusion: The incidence RVO more 61-70yrs(48%).Study shows male preponderance(64%)and females(36%).Incidence CRVO 32%,HRVO 8%,BRVO 60%.Greater association HTN,DM,Hyperlipidemia glaucoma.Age an independent factor.
